Day 01: Lhasa arrival [3650m]
Upon arrival in Lhasa you will be welcomed by your English-speaking Tibetan Guide and Tibetan Driver who will bring you to your hotel. Acclimatization to high altitude: please, drink lots of water and take plenty of rest in order to minimize altitude sickness.

Day 02: Lhasa sightseeing
We begin visiting Jokhang Temple, the most sacred monastery in Tibet. It was founded in the 7th century by the first great Buddhist king Songtsen Gampo. Later you can explore the surrounding Barkhor old quarter and spend time walking around Jokhang Temple following pilgrims from all over the Tibetan plateau. In the afternoon we go to Sera Monastery, one of three great universities of Gelugpa Sect. We will attend the debating session of the monks.

Day 03: Lhasa sightseeing
Today we visit the beautiful Potala and Norbulingka Palaces. Potala winter palace was built in the 17th century by the fifth Dalai Lama. Provides amazing views of the entire city and houses the private quarters of the Dalai Lama, numerous grand state rooms and chapels. Norbulingka Palace is the summer palace of the Dalai Lama, built in the 18th century by the seventh Dalai Lama. It’s tradition to do picnic in its beatiful garden and perform opera dances during Shoton Festival (August-September).

Day 04: Lhasa- Tsurphu monastery (Camp 4522m)
Drive to Tsurphu monastery and explore around the monastery and prepare for the next day trek.Overnight at Camp near the Tsurphu monastery area .
Day 05: Tsurphu monastery-Leten(5149m) 3-4Hours/11km/500M Ascent/
The first day trekking is only 4 hours, 11km, walk along a green valley crisscrossed with mountain streams. Be on the lookout for various species of mountain goats disguised in gray rocks. Several small nomadic communities camp here for the summer herding months, and you may have a stop into a yak-hair tent for a cup of salt butter tea or some fresh yak milk! Crest the ridge top four hours later, emerging onto a high plateau with a scattering of rock-enclosed huts, and look for a flat area for camping. From day one, the scenery is breathtaking, the landscapes are classic Tibetan beauty.

Day 06: Leten to Bartso- two passes Damchen la (5303m) and Lhasa la( 5444m)5hours/15km/300M Ascent/600Descent
Today, you will walk along a long big valley, up to the highest spot Lasar La(5444m). Have your first small pass, the Damchen Nyingtri(5303m) bear to the left at the cairns at the crest, and descend into a magical valley of lichen-coated boulders, meandering streams and expansive, powder-blue sky. Three hours later, you will cross the Lasar La(5444m) and descend into the Yangpachen valley, with its wide open plateaus, spiky grass hummocks and tundra-like parched, cracked patches of earth, and head towards Bartso. The views of Brize (translated as female yak herder) and Tarze (horse keeper) are superb, and you will feel safe in the care of the local mountain god, Nyenchen Tanglha. Camp near Bartso, a drokpa (nomad) village of five or six houses, surrounded by the juniper used for incense all over the Tibetan world.(Camping 4994m).

Day 07: Bartso to Dorje ling nunnery 3-4Hours/15km/150M Ascent/150 Descent
Leaving the village of Bartso behind, head towards a wide trail leading across the valley and over another ridge, from where you will be rewarded with views of Nyenchen Tanghlha (7111 m), the holiest mountain in central Tibet. Emerge at Tajung village, and then climb gently up rolling hills where young nomadic boys and girls picnic on the plateaus as they watch their yaks and sheep graze. The vistas are, again, just amazing! Mid-day, you should reach the Dorjee ling nunnery and after that our car and driver will come to pick you up from Darjeeling nunnery and drive to Yangpachen hot spring. You can take show in hot spring and after that drive back to Lhasa
Noted : In recent years, a concrete road link has been constructed to Dorje Ling and places further up the valley, so if you feel like driving back to Lhasa instead of trekking on the last day, you can ask your tour guide to arrange the drive for you.
Day 08: Dorje ling nunnery to Yangpachen monastery-Lhasa 3-4Hours/15km/150M Ascent/150 Descent
Today trek the 14km from the Dorje Ling nunnery via Tsaburing valley to the monastery of Yangpachen. After the trekking, drive back to Lhasa.

Day 09 Tibet departure
Enjoy your last hours in Tibet exploring Lhasa by your own until your guide and driver meet you at the hotel to transfer you to the airport. End of our services.
If you have more time . It’s also possible to spend one-two more days visiting holy Namtso lake in North Lhasa (250Km, 4-5 hours drive, one way). Or even take a relaxing day in Lhasa on your own!
