In order to secure your places when joining a group tour; the viability of your desired tour departure in specific dates when a minimum of participants is required; avoid single room occupancy supplement; and get best prices on your international / domestic flights –Kathmandu to Lhasa flight specially–, an early booking is always recommended. Please, contact us with 3-6 months in advance if possible and do not purchase your international airfare until your participation on the tour is confirmed by us.
Your booking is confirmed once tour deposit is received. We guarantee the lowest price once your deposit is received. All quotes are valid for 7 days only; after that period of time, prices might change due to availability or other factors. The flight ticket fare will be confirmed once we receive your deposit.
Note that we need your travel documents and details in advance to apply for your Tibet Travel Permit properly (see list below). You are responsible to obtain any necessary travel documents in advance of travel, make your own travel arrangements to Lhasa and communicate them to us on time (1 month in advance for most cases). We take care of all VISA process if coming from Nepal only. China Online Visa application is available for very specific cases (consult us).
We would need the following information for better advise during your booking process:
– Your Nationality
– Room preference: single room or double shared room
– Entry point to Tibet: Nepal or Mainland China
– Transportation method to Lhasa: Plane, Train or Overland
– Destination after your trip in Tibet: Nepal or Mainland China
To confirm your booking and apply for your Tibet Travel Permit / China VISA we would need the following:
– Clear scan of your Passport (valid for 6 months) / China VISA (valid during whole Tibet stay)
– Arrival flight / train to Lhasa information
– Departure flight / train information
– Arrival day and flight to Nepal / China information
– Hotel full address, telephone and name of the person who book it in Nepal / Mainland China
Accommodations are based on double occupancy. A single supplement is paid by participants who specifically request single accommodations, subject to availability. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we will try to match you with a roommate (male-male / female-female). However, if a roommate is not available, the forced single supplement will be charged.
Booking deposit can be made by bank wire transfer to our Bank of China account or through Paypal. Please follow the information provided during your booking process.
Bank wire transfer / Credit Card / Paypal fees:
Clients are responsible for all bank transfer fees. For PayPal or Credit Card payments, additional 4% would be charged to cover transaction fees.

Recover your money if we cancel. All our tours include our TIBETCARE protection, if a trip must be canceled due to force majeure reasons in the TIBET AUTONOMOUS REGION (acts of God, war, labor strikes, earthquake, flooding, government rules etc.) we would promptly refund your booking deposit.
- Trip Refund Guarantee
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your trip, a refund will be guaranteed within 14 days.
Force majeure / China-Tibet VISA & Permit Closing: if this occurs within 10 days of your arrival date, 50USD / 50EURO / 350 Yuan per person will be deducted from your deposit refund. We can also change your trip dates without any penalty.
We would not be responsible for any other expenses incurred by you.
It is strongly recommended that full insurance is taken out, which includes cover, under certain circumstances, against the loss of deposit or cancellation charges.
If you decide to cancel your travel arrangements at any time, written notification must be received at our offices. Cancellation charges as shown below will be applicable with no exeption in the same currency your trip was quoted:
Group Tour cancellation charges:
• Cancellation more than 60 days before departure: 20% of total tour cost
• Cancellation within 31-60 days: 50% of total tour cost
• Cancellation within 30 days: 100% of total tour cost
• No show on tour departure day: 100% of total tour cost
• Cancellation or withdrawing during a journey: 100% of total tour cost
Private tour cancellation charges:
• Cancellation more than 30 days before departure: 10% of total tour cost
• Cancellation within 30 days: 50% of total tour cost
• No show on tour departure day: 100% of total tour cost
• Cancellation or withdrawing during a journey: 100% of total tour cost
Private tour partial booking cancellation:
If you or any member of your party decide to cancel your booking, Private tour cancellation charges will be applicable. For the remaining group, if necessary, new quotation would be provided accordingly.
Additional services:
No refund or adjustment to other services will be made for any unused land or air services for any reason whatsoever, once tour begins. Visa fee, visa handling fee, tibetcare protection, air and train tickets booked with us are non-refundable. Cancellation and refund of air / train tickets cost will be as per rules and regulations of the concerned airlines / China Railway Corporation. Contact them for any refund directly.
Bank wire transfer / Credit Card / Paypal fees:
Clients are responsible for all refund fees that might be charged by banks, credit cards or Paypal.

TRAVEL CREDIT: Use your balance to book your trip in other dates during the next 18 months since your original arrival date to Tibet without any penalty.
REFUND FEES: You are responsible for all refund fees that might be charged by any financial institution.
COVID19: Even if your Tibet Travel Permit has been issued and delivered to you, any new outbreak in Mainland China might force your trip and permits to be cancelled by the local authorities. We are not responsible for any loss this might cause.
